Vexo vs Amplitude: Pricing Comparison for Mobile Analytics

What you actually pay once session replay and mobile analytics land on the same bill

Amplitude is one of the most capable general-purpose product-analytics platforms on the market. Vexo takes a narrower, mobile-first bet: bundle analytics and session replay and heatmaps into a flat, predictable plan built for React Native and Expo apps. The two are priced on very different philosophies — Amplitude bills on event volume and unlocks features by tier, while Vexo charges a fixed monthly rate that already includes replay and heatmaps.

This post compares both, tier by tier, using each vendor's current public pricing. Vexo's numbers come straight from our own pricing page; Amplitude's come from their published pricing page. Figures are accurate as of August 2026 — always confirm the live pages before budgeting, since plans change.

How the two models differ

Amplitude's paid plans are event-volume-based: a generous free tier (2M events/month), then the Plus plan scales up to 70M events/month on self-serve event-based pricing, with Growth and Enterprise moving to custom quotes. Session replay is available across tiers but capped by plan (10K sessions free, 20K on Growth, 50K on Enterprise). Notably, Amplitude does not publish a fixed per-event dollar rate for Plus on its public page — the price is shown as you configure volume in-product — so we flag that below rather than invent a number.

Vexo is flat-rate: you pick an event tier and pay a fixed monthly price that already includes session replays, unlimited heatmaps, and your seats. No surprise overage line at the end of a busy month.

Credit where it's due: Amplitude's free tier is genuinely generous — 2M events/month and 10K free session-replay sessions is more free headroom than most tools give you. If you're a small app that fits inside 2M events, Amplitude Free is hard to beat on raw allowance. Vexo's free tier is smaller on events but leans into mobile-specific extras — heatmaps and session replay out of the box, tuned for React Native.

Paid plans

Vexo's Premium plan uses a simple slider — you pick an event tier and get session replays included at every step. Prices are flat monthly rates with no per-event overage; your first 500k events each month are free:

Vexo Premium tierSession replaysMonthly
1M events4,000$15
2.5M events10,000$60
5M events20,000$135
10M events40,000$285
25M events100,000$615
50M events200,000$1,165

Every Premium tier includes unlimited heatmaps, 2 seats, and full access to all features. Extra seats are $4.90 each.

Amplitude's Plus plan starts at $0 (the first 2M events are free) and scales on event-based pricing up to 70M events/month, with 2-year data retention and session replay included. Beyond that, Growth and Enterprise are custom-quoted and add advanced behavioral exploration, monitoring, SSO, governance, and RBAC. Because Amplitude does not publish a fixed per-event rate for Plus, we can't give you an exact dollar figure at a given volume the way we can for a metered vendor — you'll see the number when you configure volume in Amplitude's signup flow. What is clear is the shape of the two models: Amplitude's bill rises with event volume and unlocks its most advanced analysis on higher tiers, while Vexo's stays flat and predictable with replay and heatmaps bundled in.

A worked example

Say your React Native app does 5M events/month and you want session replay on. With Vexo, that's the 5M Premium tier: a flat $135/month, with 20,000 replays and unlimited heatmaps included — full stop. With Amplitude, 5M events puts you past the 2M free allowance and onto Plus event-based pricing; replay is included up to the plan cap. We're deliberately not quoting an Amplitude dollar total here because their public page doesn't list a per-event rate to compute one honestly — the takeaway is structural: Vexo's number is fixed and knowable in advance, Amplitude's scales with the events you send and is quoted at configure-time.

Enterprise

Both vendors move to custom pricing at the top end. Vexo's Enterprise plan covers 1+ billion events and 1+ million replays with 10 seats included, onboarding, and custom configuration — priced via Contact Us. Amplitude's Enterprise plan is custom event-based pricing with unlimited projects, data access controls, advanced RBAC user management, and up to 50K session-replay sessions.

Which should you choose?

If you run a React Native or mobile app, want session replay and heatmaps included, and value a predictable bill that doesn't move with usage, Vexo is the simpler choice. If you need Amplitude's depth of general-purpose product analytics — behavioral cohorts, experimentation, advanced exploration across web and mobile — and either fit inside its large free tier or are comfortable with event-based pricing that scales with volume, Amplitude is a strong, mature platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Vexo charge separately for session replay?

No. Session replays are included in every Vexo plan, with the number scaling up as you move through the Premium event tiers. There is no separate per-replay meter.

How does Amplitude bill?

Amplitude bills on event volume. The Free plan includes 2M events/month; the Plus plan starts at $0 and scales up to 70M events/month on event-based pricing; Growth and Enterprise are custom-quoted. Amplitude does not publish a fixed per-event dollar rate for Plus on its public pricing page — you see the price as you configure volume — so confirm the live figure before budgeting.

Does Vexo charge overage fees if I exceed my tier?

No. Vexo is flat-rate: you pick an event tier and pay one fixed monthly price with session replays and heatmaps included — there is no per-event overage line at the end of a busy month. Your first 500k events each month are free, and if you consistently outgrow a tier you simply move up to the next one.
